Nate, interesting tests with IFL. A 120 GB old SSD with two 60 GB partitions. 29.6 GB of data files (mainly apps collected over the years) was copied into the first partition. It took 8 minutes.
Booted into IFL. Backups were created into the second partition. Full backup was 28.6 GB.

I have found that times will also vary by the state of your hardware drive controllers (and outboard hardware interfaces if any), so timings for same thing not always the same, but general trend, will.

Old one but I'll butt in here - Don't use the WinRE version unless you
really know what you are doing and know and
have tested that the RE on your Win is up to date
AND working correctly
as it has been changed by recent in updates over the last few months.
Very easy for RE to get wonky.

Use the bootable stick versions of IFL,W,U and be sure you back up everything - that is, click the box just above the first partition to be sure you get the boot and efi partitions. These will restore fully and correctly as I have done it many times.

To solve boot issues, boot to BIOS, set boot choice to boot to linux and see if grub will boot then do sudo update-grub. If not, set BIOS to boot to win and re-install grub.

If TBWinRE is built using the system's winre.wim, you don't have to be concerned about it.

It can usually be found in either C:\Windows\System32\Recovery, or the Recovery partition on the drive.

If none exists, it can be extracted from the install.esd (or install.wim) file on the Windows ISO using DISM.

It works fine.

/ The first one offers you the choice of RE or PE and states that PE requires you to add the windows AIK or ADK ro your windows build. It is big so I did not do that.
I used the UEFI one initially (because I didn't know any better). I just boot-ed it and it takes a full minute to boot but finally pops up with Terabyte Image for Windows. I used that for a while but ran into speed issues and throttling issues (probably WD's fault), and someone here suggested I try IFL and I was blown away by how fast it is.
It's maybe a 25 sec boot and then Terabyte Image for Linux pops up but it looks just like a windows window and GUI, and off you go as usual. It's all the same. (if it is small on your screen, to navigate use keyboard spacebar, arrows, tab key, windows key at end. )/

You don't have to know any Linux (which is good as I know very little unix) to use IFL, Else you could use DOS or UEFI - THEY ALL DO THE SAME THING, just at different speeds.

You're all over the map.

For users who want a bootable IFW solution, the easiest thing is:

Navigate to C:\Program Files (x86)\TeraByte Drive Image Backup and Restore Suite\tbwinre

Run either -

TBWinRE.cmd - Option 2 = Create a TBWinRE CD, USB Flash Drive (UFD), or ISO file

or -

TBWinPE.exe - select TBWinRE (default) > Program Paths tab > WinRE Source > Installed WinRE (default)

When it reaches Build Type > Create a TBWinRE CD, USB Flash Drive (UFD), or ISO file (default)

Takes care of everything.

Your "50 years of computers" looks like it was "1 year - 50 times".
