Can't delete older image files

My external drive that I back up to has several older image files which I can not delete. Notification of Need Administrative permission when I attempt to delete. I am logged in as Administrator and I am not sure why I can't delete. Need some additional disk space for newer back up files.

Any help would be appreciated.

You may need to take ownership and set permissions. See this KB article:
