I am trying to create a CD for image recovery/restore.

But I am getting this notice:

The imagew.ini file does not appear to contain a valid Product Key.
If the product key is not valid, Image for Windows will run in trial mode.

What action is required? (I am a lic. user)

Does the build complete successfully if you continue?

I assume you have entered the name and key into the imagew.ini file. Check for any errors displayed just before the key warning. For example, do you see something like:

'dism.exe' is not recognized as an internal or external command,
operable program or batch file.

and/or

ERROR (strlen): Input string must be specified.

If so, there are probably similar errors for "findstr" and "bcdedit" (if it gets that far). Check the PATH environment variable and make sure that the \Windows\System32 path is included in it (usually "C:\Windows\System32"). Alternatively, it may be specified using %SystemRoot% (e.g. %SystemRoot%\System32). If that's the case, also make sure that the SystemRoot environment variable is set correctly to the \Windows folder. If the path is incorrect or corrupt the script won't be able to run the required programs.

I insert a CD > select 'Create recovery CD' > DOS window appears > select #2 TBWinRE CD > press enter > Notification appears >

"The imagew.ini file does not appear to contain a valid Product Key.

The key was added during original installation of program. How do we confirm the i4w is validated once installed?

If you only entered the key when IFW was installed then the file won't have it. You'll need to edit the imagew.ini file and enter it. You can select option 2 and do it there or follow the steps in the tutorial (http://www.terabyteunlimited.com/howto/ ... torial.htm).
