Schedule Backup Password

Post by n4af »

i use no pwd and user of 'n4af' after several hours, I am drawing a blank.
ii desperation i added a pwd. but there are three lines, so i entered n4af (l1) pwd (l2) pwd (l3) - which took. since i could not find what l3 was supposed to contain. same error about user/pwd error when i try to schedule b/u. BOY, would I like the option to NOT use a pwd !
so i added longer user/pwd and tried enclosing user with #n4af# but same result. I even tried using my terabytye install pwd.
is there any hope ? I simply want to run scheduled graphical b/u but see no way to do it

I failed to add that i tried all three options, but i suppose 'run when user logged in' is the most possible.
SETTINGSZ/PASSWORDS shows my added pwd(s) took but I cannot see any change on 'scheduled'
V 4.03
Thanks, Howard[

Stored Passwords have nothing to do with the user/password you enter to actually setup a scheduled task. That needs to be the Windows user and that users password.

Search "Using task scheduler with blank password" online to find how to change Windows local account policy to allow blank passwords if that is what you want to do.
