How a USB BIU disk is created and booted

I downloaded the latest ZIP file because I wanted to update the BIU on my Dell laptop after noticing that BIBM and BIU had been updated.

However, even though I have a USB stick hooked into the laptop, when I run the Makedsk and it reaches the conclusion, it only offers to output to a CD or an ISO.

Does the USB stick have to be a certain size in order for Makedsk to notice it?
