BootMenuXY

Post by odos »

Hi, because my motherboard doesn't have mouse support in legacy I cannot use a mouse with BootIt BM. No problem I just use the keyboard instead, except I want to move the boot menu away from it's default position in the centre of the screen and have found no way to do that with just the keyboard other than modifying the Bootit.ini file. If there is an easy way I would be grateful to hear it.

Now the question listed in the topic title. What are the co-ordinates defined by the BootMenuXY entry in the options so I can position the menu where I want it?

I tried experimenting by just altering a single number at a time from the default to try and work out the co-ordinate system in use, but I got wildly varying results so that was a failure.

Thanks

High 16 bits is X, low 16 bits is Y. Using hex notion may be easier 0x00010001 would be 1,1

Thanks, that works fine.

It's so much easier when you know what the numbers mean

Thanks again
