Hi,
Is anyone having problems with the ISO file to upgrade to the new ver 1.86 for BootIt UEFI?
Booting from the CD I made, after asking me all the questions - it says it can't read the files on the CD.
This is the second CD I made (after re-creating the ISO file).
Is there something bad in the makedisk files?
Also - it's asking me a new question - Do I want to let BootIT manage directories under the EFI directory.
It's never asked that before.
Usually it just asks if I want to upgrade BootIt.

Re: Bootit UEFI 1.86 ISO - "can't read disk"
It's actually saying it can't mount the file system. I wonder if the CD is showing as a hard drive and looking at that - go to partition work and check what shows also ensure you created the BIU and not BIBM version.

Hi,
The thing is - there's only one makedisk.
I've been using this for a couple of years now - and I just run makedisk, and it remembers what I chose last time.
Sorry, the thread should read BootIt UEFI 1.38 ISO.
The 1.37 one works fine.
I can't upload the ISO file - but the CONTENTS.TXT file says:
Disc Information:
Bootable: Yes
Boot Mode: UEFIx64
Product: BootIt UEFI

Re: Re: Bootit UEFI 1.38 ISO - "can't read disk"
Yeah - that's right. I choose UEFI, and I'm sure it's building a BootIt UEFI disk.
So, either I've "made" (with makedisk) 2 bad ISO files and/or burned them to 2 bad CDs - or there is something screwy with this version
The first clue is - it never usually asks if BootIt should handle directories under the EFI directories.
It usually just says "do you wnat me to upgrade...", and asks if it can choose where to install - then it does it.

sorry - I sent the other reply before I saw thisTeraByte Support wrote: ↑Fri Apr 14, 2023 3:37 pm Did you look in partition work to see what drive was what? Also, you can try "edit file" on the efi system partition and see if you can see files or says unable to mount, if unable to mount, create an image of the efi system partition and provide a link to support (use the support@ email address).
I can't even see it in Partition manager.
I'll send a copy of the ISO file to support.

FAT32 mounting was broken, update to the 1.38a version
Re: Re: Bootit UEFI 1.38 ISO - "can't read disk"
That did it - it updated as normal
Thanks.
Thanks.
