Bootitbm will not allow restore to volume, seemed to have lost all my data and programs
Single Drive Win7: reserve partition, c:Win7boot d:data and pgms- now gone
Wanted to create extended partition with two volumes from 375GB D: partition containing data and programs.
Following bob's advice, I:
Resized D: from 374GB down to 100GB (used data of 64gb, rest free)
Imaged backup of resized partition D:data+pgms
Deleted D:
Created extended partition with two 150gb volumes, NTFS and FAT32 and 74GB free space at the end.
Restore will not show the volumes and therefore will not allow restore of Bootitbm image backup stored on C: drive. Only shows partition 3 which I guess is the old D partition of 100gb
Only shows the new extended partition and not the volumes, both empty 150GB each.
States "restore will overlap other partitions"
So I guess all my data and hard work installing programs on D: is gone??! Why can I not restore to a volume and how do I get my D:data+pgms back??
