Windows Vista or Windows 7/8.x/10 Will Not Boot

Problem

Windows Vista or Windows 7/8.x/10 will not boot.

Cause

While there are multiple causes for this problem, one of the most common is that the boot configuration data (BCD) may need to be corrected.

Solution

BootIt Bare Metal and BootIt UEFI allow you to view and edit the boot configuration data used by Windows.  Please refer to the article How to Use the BCD Edit Feature of BootIt BM.
