Windows Boot Error BLinitializedlibrary Failed 0xc00000bb

Problem:

Windows fails to boot and displays a black screen error:

BLinitializedlibrary failed 0xc00000bb

Cause:

This error can be caused by having more than the GPT Reserved partition in the MBR of a GPT drive or the GPT Reserved partition not being the first entry. Windows expects a single GPT Reserved holder as the first and only entry in the MBR of a GPT drive.

Solution:

Check the GPT drive(s) and verify that only the GPT Reserved partition is in the MBR and that it's the first entry. If other partitions are needed in the MBR, make sure the GPT Reserved partition is the first entry.
