The imaging functionality of TeraByte Unlimited products is generally designed to create and restore complete images of a partition. However, if you run Windows 95/98/Me or Windows 2000/XP/2003/Vista/Windows 7, you can restore individual files from images using the free utility TBIView. If you wish to backup/restore certain files on a file-by-file basis, you can also complement your image backup by using a archiver utility (e.g. WinRAR or WinZip).
There are several different backup solutions that can be achieved using partition images and/or compressed file archives. For example, you could occasionally create partition images and, in between partition images, use an archiver utility to automate the backing up of data files and/or folders. In this case you could even create and update the ZIP archive on CD-RW packet-formatted media, because in the case of needing a total system restore, you would restore the partition image which gets the system running with CD-RW packet support; after which you could restore the files from the ZIP archive.
