How to Install Win98 into the Same Partition as Win95 without Upgrading

To install the Win98 update to the same partition as Win95 without upgrading do the following:

1. Boot with a Win95 or Win98 installation boot diskette or Press F8 at the Starting Windows 95... message then choose Command Prompt Only from the Win95 startup menu.
   
   
2. Start the Win98 setup program.  For a list of available options, type setup /? and press ENTER.
   
   
3. Be sure you install Win98 to a different folder otherwise you'll overwrite Win95.

Please note that even if you install Win98 to a different folder, they both use the same folder structure for the additional software such as those items put under the Program Files folder.
