Additional Installation Notes for Windows NT

Please note the following:

  • Always install NT to a FAT type 6 partition. If you want NTFS, then you choose that during installation or convert to it at a later date by running CONVERT.

  • If you want to have NT 4.x and later in the same partition as Windows 9x/ME, then you should be aware that the accessories and program files included with each operating system get installed to the “\PROGRAM FILES” folder. This means they could overwrite each other's tools or programs. It’s usually better to install them in different partitions or volumes.
