IFL with special keyboard

I'm trying to boot from an IFL CD on my desktop, which has an ergoLogic keyboard attached to it. It's the same as the FlexPro, both by Keytronic.
My keyboard is recognized only when pressing Enter to bypass the five-second boot delay; after that, it's like it's been disconnected.
Years ago when I had time to tinker with Linux, I learned that there was a specific driver or ini file needed for using this keyboard. I can no longer figure out how to obtain whatever it is I need, nor do I know how to add it to the boot CD.
What do I need to learn?
