Question as the subject states...is it possible for IFW to only grab the space being used...so on a 120GB drive if its only using 35GB can we get it to only back up that 35GB footprint?

that's what it does unless you choose the "backup unused sectors", or the
file system is invalid, unknown, or unable to be accessed, use "information"
button to see used/free space. If you're talking about resting to a smaller
area, see http://www.terabyteunlimited.com/kb/article.php?id=554

Yes, I speaking about bring the system to a smaller area. Thank you for the article it is most helpful, however, we are currently restricted to version 2.60. Is this option available? I do not see it in the GUI but saw the image in the manual with it showing in 2.67.

https://www.terabyteunlimited.com/product-download.php to get the latest
version which would have it, 2.60 wouldn't have compact available.
