I usually do about 6 images as a group, 1 full and 5 weekly as "changes-only".
I just updated IFW to Version 4.06.
Because of the Version update, should I start another new string of images with another "Full" image, or is it safe to continue another couple of "changes-only" since IFW would have two different versions within my typical back-up image string? I did a quick search but couldn't find an obvious answer.
Will updated IFW affect previous backup changes

Re: Will updated IFW affect previous backup changes
Images made with IFW 4.06 can only be restored with 4.06.

You don't need to start a new chain. 4.06 can handle the prior versions. Every once and a while the version update history will indicate when a version change requires a newer version to restore when not using a backwards compatible option. 4.06 happens to be one of them, that just means 4.05 or earlier can't use the newly created .tbi files.
