I've asked this question before, but didn't articulate well enough.

I have 3 pc's I want to backup. Let's call them, PC-1, PC-2, and PC-3. I have a folder on a NAS called Backups. Within are folders _C-1, PC-2, and PC-3.

Obviously, I want PC-1 to go to the share PC-1, PC-2 goes to the share, PC-2...etc.

Right now, when I make a backup for example, PC-1 the file goes to the following location:

Z:\TeraByte_TBI_Backups\{9DC28570-936D-0000-0000-000000000000}\{D7C871F5-5FF6-40F4-A432-B2DA59AAB619}\0000000000000001\*.tbi

I'm tired of drilling down, double clicking...

How do I tell the backup to go to the share PC-1\current date... Or whatever I choose? I just don't like that 4 sub-folder depth.

Please, I'm 81 years old. Make it simple for me okay?

1 - you can't for simple operations, the files are handled for you. You use the interface in the program to show the files so no having to drill down in to the folders.

2 - if you use traditional mode, you can just set the file location to be where you want, but you'll need to manage the files.

3 - When you have multiple systems going to a single location, you should setup a max store size for each system so one doesn't start taking over space from the others (in regards to total available storage available).

Yeah, I have a quota setup on that. Also, I'll be setting up rotations to remove backups that are superseded.

How to I get from simple to traditional?

In what way do I need to manage the files?

Can you send me a couple screenshots of that? At 81, the older I get the shorter I get. All this typing for the last 4 decades has shortened my fingers, too.

I find myself frequently checking the folder(s) to see files themselves. Probably don't need to, but I tend to watch the progress of the file size increases and comparing them to what IFW says is left to complete the job.

I often want to load a backup in TBView, as well. I have to drill down then too.

I think I purchased my first copy of IFL in the early 2000's.
