Faststartup Disable...

Regarding the pinned disable faststart topic:

viewtopic.php?t=427

I noticed some BIOS have a FASTSTART option in the BOOT section of the BIOS. Does disabling Faststart as outlined in the pinned topic change the faststart option in the BIOS? Dose disabling faststart in the BIOS disable it in windows as the topic shows? I'm not sure of the relationship between the faststart within Windows and the one in the BIOS.

Any clarification appreciated.

fast start in the BIOS typically a limited POST. When enabled it can sometime cause issue on reboots where a device doesn't work correct after reboot (warm boot), but does on reset/cold boot. Typically this is more an issue when using BootIt to multi-boot between OSes. By disabling it the devices are fully reset even on the warm boot.
