Boot Menu Size

Hi again, just a couple of questions I hope support have time to answer.

First, is the boot menu size fixed in the program coding or can it be modified? I ask because when using the lower sreen resolutions it looks terribly clunky and takes up a lot of the screen real estate.

Second question is, should I have appended this boot menu question to the last topic I started about bootmenuXY instead of starting a new one as it is related to the other subject?

My Display Settings are 1024*768*16M
The boot Menu will hold 16 items before it starts scrolling.

Hi Brian, at the moment like you I'm using 1024*768 and as you say the menu works flawlessly. What I am asking is can I shrink the size of the menu because I'm using a 40 inch monitor and I only use short names for my partitions. The default menu takes up almost a third of the screen in the X axis and produces a horrible chunky font on this size screen.

I know it's all personal choice but to me it looks like something from a kiddies play tablet so I'd like to shrink it down a bit. I suspect that is not going to be possible however.

Thanks for the reply.

it's a fixed width font so it won't scale at different sizes even if the width were less ...
