services.ins for VSS or how to automate backing up MariaDB?

I'm using MariaDB on one of my drives I backup with IFW, and I always have to remember to stop the service, start the backup which uses VSS, and restart the service. I see there is a way to automate this for PHYLOCK using a services.ins file, but what about VSS?

I looked at using batch files, but the IFW command line doesn't appear to support my usage. In particular, it seems to require naming the base file for incremental backups. Is there a way to make it choose the most recent one?

It would work the same way for vss as phylock.
