Hello been looking though the guide but what I'm looking for has not jumped out at me, when I last used bootit bare metal version, I found a timer setting for the menu to load the selected item after so long, I cannot find that same setting for bootit UEFI, also I would like a bit more detail on how to get a background image into the menu.

Thanks

Webdoc,

For the Timeout, it's Settings, Timeout.

The background image needs to be a pcx file. The same as with BIBM. Put the pcx file in \EFI\BOOTIT folder. Then use Settings, Background, Browse.

You need to make your own pcx file. Convert a JPG.
There are online converters.

You can access the BIU folder in Windows by using TBOSDT or TBExplo.

When dual booting windows 11 & ubuntu with bootit UEFI, ubuntu asks where to place its boot file, is the windows efi folder the right place as I have put it there but it will not boot?

Thanks

Yes, that's correct. But even if you choose the drive or the partition, it still goes to the ESP.

In your Ubuntu Boot Item, what is in the Boot File field?

Is Secure Boot enabled in your firmware?
