Make a selfboot OS recovery USB

Hi,
Many many many years ago I used Image4DOS, where I can backup the whole OS (I think may be Win95 or Win98) on to a CD/DVD, so to restore the OS, I would simply pop in the CD and /DVD, restart PC and it just restore the OS from CD/DVD and done.
Now with USB coming in larger capacity, I am think may be I could use the same trick again, the machine are set to boot USB as first device so just a matter of how best to do this with I4W as in how to create a self boot USB to restore the OS without any user intervention.
