Hosted Windows Server 2016

Thanks for reading,

I have a hosted dedicated server running Windows Server 2016

No doubt IFW does a good job in backing up a full partition namely the Boot drive / C drive.

My questions (2) relate to Restore.

1)
If I do a full Drive back to a networked located, given I do not have Physical access to the server to boot from a USB for example, how would I restore that original backup ?

Would I do an initial install of Windows using the hosting control panel giving me a raw windows server, then install some sort of IFW app, that then would restore from the networked location and thus fully restore the server to original state ? Or ?

2)
More or less in keeping with the above question, could I then do the same thing on a new server to fully restore that original back from the other server on that new server, achieving a full clone of the original machine ?

Cheers

You typically create boot media with the network supported needed (Linux or Windows boot disk). Test booting it and that you can access the image (validate for example).
