/boottbwr for automated backups

Post by Mr.X »

Following this new feature viewtopic.php?t=3959
could you add one similar for automated backups?

Why my request?
Well I got some reasons but the most important for me is:
- Having Issues running a shadowed (Shadow Defender) Windows session + Windows locked files by VSS/Phylock during a backup operation.

If IFW needs to lock files via VSS or Phylock for a backup operation then a dialog similar to this offering a reboot just before running the operation would be great: Image

It's not completely automated, but you can have IFW create a file to use with Builder's BootWIM feature. You can edit the IFW command line if wanted and run it when needed (could create a .cmd script and just double-click to run it). To create the BootWIM "run" file from IFW, enable the "Show Save for TBWinPE on Summary" option in Settings and then use the "Save for TBWinPE" button on the Summary step (usually using "TBWinPE Parameters" for the "Save as type" to create a .ifw file containing the IFW command line). Then use the .ifw file as the "run" file when using BootWIM.

For example, runmybackup.cmd script to run "mybackup.ifw" using IFW WinRE mode (full paths not shown here):

tbwinpe.exe /bootwim /ifw /run mybackup.ifw
