Auto-confirm the Purge prompt

Post by Shai »

Hello,

Recently, I updated my backup strategy. I'm currently running IFW from the command prompt as a scheduled task at the beginning of each month to create an image of my system drive. I don't need the images to go back more than 3 months, so I'm using the Purge option to automatically delete images older than 90 days.

Initially, I set it to /purge:91 but then ran into a problem. Before the image starts, IFW prompts me to confirm that I wish to delete the older images. Unless I confirm, the imaging process doesn't progress.
I was wondering if there's an argument I could add to my command to auto-accept this prompt? I looked in the manual but didn't find an answer. Would changing the command to /purge:-91, to move the purging process to the end of the imaging process, change anything?

Thank you

you'd most likely want -91 in case you have a back fail for some reason. to prevent the prompt see the unattended options such as /uy as the first option.
