I'm using bootit BM to boot 2 OS, Windows 11 and Windows 10 on the same PC but with a different partition
There are some partition that should NOT be seen from Windows 10 and vice versa
The only thing I done was to put the partition in HIDE mode under the Boot Menu, the strange is at every restart of my PC the HIDE configuration disappear so all the partition will be visible on both OS :( :(
Why that ?
HELP !

Tks but i can selet Limit Partition options ONLY in the GLOBAL section, in the Drive Section the options is always in GREY and NOT selectable !
I tryd bot with or without Limit Partition but at every power off/on the Hidden partition continue to change from Windows 11 and Windows 10, so is not possible to use it, I have always to go to Boot Menu and check if the Hidden and not Hidden partition was OK
All drives are in MBR mode,. NOT EMBR

When you say Limit Partition, I assume you mean Limit Primaries. Limiting primaries is only relevant to EMBR, not MBR (I think). I'm not sure you can even hide partitions on an MBR, as opposed to EMBR, disk, but I guess I'm not sure you can't either.

The drive with BootIt has to be EMBR but doesn't matter with hiding, either hide it (and adjust in the OS as the article / quick link talks about - last item) or if unlimited, you can remove it.

I have 3 drive
1 DRIVE -> EMBR with BootIt and Windows 11 OS and Widnows 10 OS
2 DRIVE -> MBR 4 Partitions / 3 for both Windows 11 OS and Windows 10 OS and 1 HIDED for Windows 10 OS
3 DRIVE -> MBR 3 Partitions / 2 for ONLY for Windows 10 OS so HIDED to Windows 11 and 1 for both OS
At every power Off and On the HIDE partitions under the two boot configuration continue to change it !
WHY THAT ??
I tryed Limit Primaries ON or OFF but nothing change and I can do the change only in the global setting because in the drive settings I CAN'T do it the option is in GRAY !
I also write to the support of BootIt but NO ONE REPLAY ME !
Please HELP ME

luca.rings,

Can you try this scenario?
Remove the tick from Limit Primaries.
Change the MBR disks to EMBR. Now you have 3 EMBR disks.

In Boot Edit, Edit Menu Item for the Win11 on HD 0.
Look at MBR Details for HD 0. Use the Fill and Clear buttons so you only have the Win11 partition in HD 0.
Look at MBR Details for HD 1. Use the Fill and Clear buttons so you have no partitions in HD 1.
Look at MBR Details for HD 2. Use the Fill and Clear buttons so you have no partitions in HD 2.

Boot the Win11 item a few times. Confirm there are no other OS, apart from Win11, in Disk Management.

Just Done it
If I leave ONLY the Windows 11 or 10 on HD0 without any other partitions I can do many restart and power off and nothing was wrong
If I'm starting to enable some partitions on HD1 and 2 AGAIN at every power OFF/ON the partitions seen from Windows 11 and 10 continue to change !
Impossible to use BootIt Impossible ...
I really don't understand were is the problem

Can you try this scenario?

In Boot Edit, Edit Menu Item for the Win11 on HD 2. Enable Swap.
Look at MBR Details for HD 2. Use the Fill and Clear buttons so you only have the Win11 partition in HD 2.
Look at MBR Details for HD 0. Use the Fill and Clear buttons so you have no partitions in HD 0.
Look at MBR Details for HD 1. Use the Fill and Clear buttons so you have no partitions in HD 1.

Boot the Win11 item a few times. Confirm there are no other OS, apart from Win11, in Disk Management.

This is how you should have each of your Boot Items. Only one OS present in MBR Details. No OS present in MBR Details for the other two HDs.

and as mentioned in the article, if you want the partition in the MBR then you're going to have to use disk management to hide it at this point (or change the disk signature - but that can mess up booting if you don't fix it up), so just hide it in disk management if you want in the mbr.
