I have watched Create a VMWare Workstation Machine from a Physical Machine https://www.terabyteunlimited.com/video ... sdtool.wmv , for Windows XP and older VMWare Workstation (not Player).

I have tried to restore an existing physical Windows-10 GPT UEFI machine image under VMware Workstation Player 16.1.2. But it does not boot. It's not clear what virtual drivers to use and how.

Can you please provide a step-by-step guide (or video)
on how to restore a physical Windows-10 GPT UEFI machine image under VMware Workstation Player 16?

It's particularly important to know if it's possible in principle with Workstation Player 16, which is free for personal use (and therefore has reduced functionality comparing with paid versions).

You would normally use the CopyP2V script for that since it fixes up the drivers, etc. Restore it to a VMDK (most likely you want SCSI) and then setup the VM to use the file.
