'Inaccessible Boot Device' after redeploying Win-10 ver.20H1 to Intel Core i7 (11th Gen) + NVME drive

Post by rybshik1 »

I am trying to clone/redeploy my Windows 10 ver.20H1 setup from Lenovo T450s to Lenovo ThinkPad E15 Gen 2.

https://pcsupport.lenovo.com/ca/en/prod ... 20td003hus

Lenovo T450s is set up with GPT UEFI.

Lenovo E15 Gen 2 has a Western Digital NVME drive and uses drivers stornvme.inf and spaceport.inf

I did the following:
1. Backed up the entire drive of Lenovo ThinkPad T450s with IFW ver.3.46 WinRE.
2. Restored the entire drive to Lenovo ThinkPad E15 Gen 2 with IFW WinRE.
3. OSDTool (which comes with terabyte_drive_image_backup_and_restore ver. 3.46)
Physical Drive
choose Win10
Install drivers
Install default NVM Express Controller

I also tried to run 'FIXBOOT.TBS'

The laptop is not able to boot even to safe mode with command prompt, getting blue screen 'Inaccessible Boot Device'.

Note: Bootable USB Flash with IFW WinRE boots just fine and recognizes external and internal drives, including NVME.

Solved: When using OSDTool, do not remove any drivers! Only add new ones.
