Is any work being done on NNTP access to the forums? May we hope for access in the near future, or has this been abandoned.
Cheers
NNTP access to the forums
Re: NNTP access to the forums
*bump*
I still have my NNTP client configured to read these newsgroups, and of course, it generates an error every time, which becomes annoying after a few months
If there is no plan to resurrect NNTP access, then I can simply remove your server from my client, otherwise I will just persevere with the error messages until your server is back on line.
Cheers

Re: NNTP access to the forums
right now yeah, it's abandoned, tried to hire some different python guys to work on it but none could finish, it's open source. But with all the additional features and such and not much interest in NNTP support, probably best to just leave it.
It shows red (by default) where new messages made (update all read so that can be taken advantage of that) so you can do a quick look and see if any new messages. Also can subscribe to a thread so get notices if anyone posts to it.

That’s a pity. Never mind, thanks for the reply.
