A 1TB single MBR partition SSD that contains Windows 10 (64-bit) is imaged.

The goal is to convert it to GPT with three partitions, one for the O/S, two for storage.

Does it make a difference if conversion is done prior to or after partitioning?

Can the earlier image be restored thereafter? Any special settings required?

I don't think I can answer the questions definitively, but why not just convert to 3 MBR partitions which should be simple.
