Qn for support: Which is -recommended- VSS or PHYLock

Mostly for curiosity, is the above saying that if I backup multiple partitions, PhyLock will lock, stabilize or whatever the entire physical disk while all partitions are being backed up whereas VSS will lock, stabilize or whatever one partition at a time just while that partition is being backed up?

OK. What does "PHYLock works on the physical drive level. VSS works on the volume level" mean?

I have no idea where people get their information. VSS excludes the page file by default, if "Exclude Files To Not Backup" is selected in IFW. Moreover, VSS allows you to exclude whatever file(s) you wish, with a simple registry edit.
