IFW:When to make new boot media

I use IFW to do full backups of a couple of Windows 10 and Windows 7 systems. I created TBWinRE boot media on DVD in April, 2018 using IFW version 3.
1- Will that boot media work for later versions of IFW?
2- Is it advisable to create new TBWinRE boot media each time IFW issues a new version, such as recently issued v 3.22?
3- Is it advisable to create new boot media when Windows 10 is updated, for either monthly "quality updates", or semi-annual version updates (ie. version 1709 to version 1803)?
Thanks.

It's generally recommended to update the boot media when you update the installed version. This is to make sure you have a version of boot media that is current and supports the new version. If you don't update and have other Windows systems available to create an updated boot media if the need arises then this isn't so much of an issue. Note that for TBWinRE/PE you can also search for updated installed versions of the programs from TBLauncher after booting and update for that boot session if found (this, of course, requires that the installed system is available -- drive is working, not corrupted, installed IFW found, etc.).

On major Windows updates (1709 to 1803, as in your example) WinRE will be updated too. Creating new boot media will use the updated WinRE. This may or may not make any difference depending on the changes made to it. There are usually driver changes and a few feature/support changes.
