Hi,

I have BIBM installed and am trying to install CENTOS 7.

I first tried the installation after creating a bootable USB from the ISO, but the installation hangs with a last message "assuming drive cache".

So, I tried to use burncdcc64 to burn the ISO to a DVD+R, and burncdcc64 said that it wouldn't fit on the DVD+R, but the ISO filesize is < 4.3 GB.

Why is burncdcc564 indicating that the ISO is too large and what can I do to burn the ISO?\\

try a different disk, or SAO mode, or different disk type, or updating the
drives firmware.

Hi,

I was able to figure out how to get the installer going when I booted to the USB, but I got stuck because when you get to the partitioning page, it is showing the entire physical disk and not just the partition that I have in boot menu !!

I looked at your article, and that procedure seems a little "scary", especially wiping out the MBR, etc., so I have to think about it more ...

As far as the problem I had with BurnCDCC64, I just figured that out, and you probably won't believe how stupid this (I) was....

It turned out that the disk I had in the burner was a CD and not a DVD+R. I have 2 cakeboxes, 1 of CDs and the other of DVD+Rs, and both disks (CD and DVD+R) are painted plain white on the non-recording side.... so maybe that is a little bit of an excuse ???
