I want to move a USB drive to my laptop since it is larger than the 500
GB there.

I am setting up the hard drive now using IFW in a diff laptop. Once the
restore for the other computer is finished, I will remove the drive from
this computer until I can get it installed into the one where it will stay.

Are there any GOTCHAS with this? I did tell IFW to make it Active.

I presume the image was from the same machine it's going back to, if so,
just the global assume same target system may be needed.

If the partition is from a different machine, you need to use osdtool on it.

Yes, it will be going into the same machine the image was created on.
It is just a larger hard drive.

I did not check Restore First Track (or whatever wording it has), only
marked Active. Have been wondering if I should have done that?
