UEFI best practise

Hi all,
I have a new laptop with with win8.1 and i'm a little confused about UEFI and secureboot.
I created an TBWinre CD with IFW 2.94, booted and create an image of c and validation of c showed no errors. the Image only worke when i switched secure boot off in bios. But i kept bootmode on UEFI while creating image. After creating image i switched the setting back to secureboot.
Later i saw that you have a new (or at least i never really reckognized it) entry in the startmenu in the V2 folder: Image for UEFI. in the notes it says that since UEFI is not stable - its not stable all the time and should only be used from UEFI 2 upwards.
My machine: Acer Aspire V3 / Win 8.1 64-bit
BiosVersion: Insyde Corp v1.11 9/2/2014
SMBIOS: 2.8
1. Will the image wich i took work? Are there Problems/things to keep in mind when i restore?.
2. What would be for my machine the better way to go IFU or IFW? Advantages, disadvantages?
An open word would be appreciated with UEFI and secure boot nothing seems to be perfect and its not your fault! I search the help and the forum but nothing really suitable showed up or i was not able to find.
P.S. Great tip to deactivate the Hybernate for shutdown. i used machine only couple of hours an already had suspicous problems!
Edit: just saw that if i use the IFU boot cd. there comes a winow saying enter productkey. My version IFW is aregistered version. o you have to buy IFU extra or why is that?
