I've been using Boot NG for years and wondered if there was any reason I should upgrade to Boot BM? I'm running Win 8.1 so didn't know if maybe it had a file format not supported by NG that BM has. I don't currently have either installed on this new computer but hope to install it soon.

there is additional support for Win8 in the newer versions. I'd upgrade.
And ensure fast startup is disabled (the BIBM version can turn that off for
you via properties of the partition).

Question:

I don't see the option in BIMB for turning off Fast Start.

Would that be because I already have it turned off in Windows 8.1 and
Windows 10 Tech Preview ?

I am using BIMB version 1.29 released 12-17-14 with IFD (GUI) included.

Has that option been removed from this version ?

I remember in past versions I did turn it off in BIBM when I didn't have
Fast Start turned off using Windows.

I had BING for a few years. I had to use Windows 7 x64 to reduce the C
partition down so I could have a large D partition. BING did not give an
accurate picture on the size of the 64 bit OS. That was over 2 years ago
so don't remember the exact specifics.

You will get a discount in purchasing BIBM as well. It is not very costly.

Don't know if you have Image 4 DOS. That is included with BIBM.

In BIBM look at the partition properties. Where I have turned it off
in BIBM it says Fast Boot is disabled, may do so if you did it
manually. After I disable Fast Boot, I also turn off hibernation.

OK... Thank you. I looked again and under Actions it does say it is
disabled. I wasn't looking too closely to see that. I was looking the button
that you select to disable it as I had seen in the past. I did disable that
way in the past.

I guess maybe this time since I disabled it in Windows the button isn't
there but it say it's disabled. I would think that the button would still be
there in event you wanted to use BIBM to turn it back on again.
