image size is full partition size, not used

Post by skipro »

OS Partition is 450 G
Used is 42 G
IFW is creating a 450G file.

"Omit page file" & "hibernation data" options are selected.
"Backup unused sectors" NOT selected.

This is encrypted with bitlocker. Does this matter?

Any help?
Why is IFW creating a 450G file when only 42G is used? See below.

As far as I know, it's due to the encryption.

Are you using PhyLock or VSS? Is the drive a standard hard drive or is it a SSD?

use vss to backup bitlocker data unencrypted - will show as fat 32 so can't
use TBIView but should be able to use TBIMount if need file access.
