Forward compatibility?

Hi everyone,

thinking about backward compatibility (while reading through this thread: http://www.terabyteunlimited.com/ucf/vi ... lity#p7390)

one question came to my mind: Is it safe to assume that a NEWER version of IFW ond CD will always be able to read older image files?
