I've found a problem with TBWinPE/RE (both products).
After generating an ISO and writing to my Grub4DOS USB flash drive,
and rebooting to TBWinPE, I check the partitions and drives in IFW by
pressing 'next' to get the 'Select the hard drive or partitions to
backup' screen.
The flash drive is shown as active, as expected, but the C: drive of
the internal HD is also shown as active. If I try to backup the
internal HD it comes up with a PhyLock error.
I've experimented with the standard configuration, using a CD to boot
from. I've even generated a TBWinRE CD, but they all show the C: drive
as active.
Any thoughts?

Re: TBWinPE/RE C: Drive Active
PHYLock is not included in the standard TBWinRE/PE builds. Are you using a custom build? Otherwise, I assume you're getting the standard "can't lock" message. Do you have any other programs running that might be keeping a handle open on the drive? Is it just the one partition? As an example, if you have a Command Prompt open on C: it won't lock. You can usually ignore it or use an aggressive lock.
IFW will show the active partition on each drive (if there is one). It just means the boot flag is set for it.

Re: TBWinPE/RE C: Drive Active
Thanks. The problem turned out to be that I was using IFW from the C: drive. Switching to the one on X: enabled the backup to work.
