You would need to enable the "Retain Failed Backups" option if you want to keep it. Note that the backup may not be valid.

Ah, didn't see the second page. Tried the process again and now my external drive isn't being recognized via USB, so I used Image for Windows instead. It completed using the 'Ignore IO errors' option. Hopefully it's a valid image.

Also, when performing a restore from an image all the metadata such as Last Modified timestamps are kept aren't they? As when I restored some individual files the timestamps were different (seems like they're treated like copied files).
