I am finding that it is taking much longer to restore my C: partition that
it took to make the image. Is there a reason for this? It is being
restored from a USB hard drive, which is where it was created. It is taking
over 5 hours to restore and probably took less than 2 to create the image
and verify.

for that big a difference, you'd want see where the bottle neck is ... run a
validation to read the source .. also, did you make any changes to the
default /po settings? On the write site, you may want to reinstall the
storage driver (update driver to the same one) which can sometimes fix slow
writes.
