Is there any way to view the IfW log from the program's interface or
must one navigate to it with a file manager?

Not in the program, but you can right click the icon, choose open file
location, the file is there to open.

Definitely. I was filled with trepidation making the original posting
as I was waiting to be chastised for not finding it. I cannot believe
that something so useful has never been implemented.
