i'm new and i'm a windows 7 user
i like to use image for linux
but is there a way to use the console to disconnect like in windows?
i mean i would like to turn off just i do with windows clicking on the safe remove

If you don't have any partitions that you've mounted, you can just unplug
it. If you've mounted partitions, umount them first.
if you mean power the computer off, type poweroff
