I cannot restore an image created by IFW with IFD. It reports an invalid file, but i used the same version with both programs. (Version 2.83). Please help.

do you have Windows based compression or encryption enabled for that
drive/directory/or file? If so, remove that from Windows. Also, when you
look at the drive in the list of drives does it say anything about being
"out of sync" ? It can also be your BIOS having read problems, especially
on USB, you may want to try "USB" option instead, can also be memory problem
(run memtest86+ from memtest86.org), or on a SATA/PATA drive, try
BIOS(direct), or just try using Image for Linux which won't use the BIOS.
