Guess either didn't boot back to BIU before booting install media or not using the rename option.

Jim, do you have "Rename Directory" selected in both Boot Items?

The boot edit for Windows11 already had the Windows10-SSD hidden and Win11 booted ok and only shows 2 partitions in Win Explorer.
Ok here is something nuts
....
So I just hid the Windows-SSD in the Windows10 boot edit and restarted, and it booted into Win10 fine (now)
!!!
So, yes now both win10 and win11 boot items are working, the the "opposite" partition is hidden.
Honestly this is not the way it was working a few minutes ago
...
Is it possible that JUST LOOKING at the BCD edits somehow caused the problem that I was seeing (with the win10 boot hanging) earlier??

Jim, can you check Rename Directory check boxes?

That checkbox IS already checked in both.

No. You would need to actually make changes.
