hi,

Since there are 2 items in the "boot" in BCD edit, shouldn't the BIU menu have show 2 items?

Yes it should. But get Win11 booting first.

Yes. You mentioned you only have Microsoft.001 and not Microsoft.002. We'll use .001 for Win11 and create .002 soon.

ok i think that worked. BIU shows Windows 11 and when I booted via BIU I got into the original Windows 11 albeit much smaller partition C:.

I think we need to remove the reference to the Windows10-SSD though?

Can I just hide that in the BIU boot edit?

Leave it for the time being. There may be a Microsoft.002 in the wrong folder.

The following will create a Microsoft.002 (or .003)

In BIU
Run
fixboot.tbs, OK
select the Windows10-SSD item
Enter
Enter
Search on HD0 ....
Enter
Setup a Boot Configuration...
Enter
Setup a full configuration
Enter

You will see Operation completed. I'd expect the folder is \EFI\Microsoft.002 (it could be .003)

Enter
Exit

Back on the BIU desktop

Boot Edit
Add
Identity Win10 or your choice
Boot EFI System Partition
Boot File Browse
double click ..
double click Microsoft.002 (or .003 if that was created)
double click Boot
scroll down to bootmgfw.efi
OK

Put a tick in Rename Directory
OK
OK again
Reboot

Resume
Boot the Win10 item

Does it work? You might need to Reactivate BIU.

Even after a restart or a reinstall of BIU?
