Is there any way to specify the PHYLOCK.SWP file to use a different drive? Or does it have to be on the same drive that is being backed up?

Re-ran the backup with 2.82a again, but this time saving the backup to a different server.
Really interesting results this time. It still reported a byte for byte failure, but the blocks that are presented in the log are identical (I saved the blocks of "DATA AS BACKED UP:" and "DATA NOW ON DISK:" into two files and compared them. They are identical. Is that because of a bug that was fixed between 2.82a and 2.85?

I also tried backing up with IFL 2.85 from a CD Boot. I still got a byte for byte failure.

Where is the log saved when you boot from the IFL CD-ROM?

No, that hasn't been changed in a while - could be using different memory
areas if say the require memory area changes of what to read, could read
something else.

I went back to IFW 2.82a just as a check, and there is a difference.

With over 10 backups attempted with IFW V 2.85, every "data as backed up" is
a block of zeros, and "Data now on disk" is a block of mixed data.

With 2.82a, I still get a Byte-for-byte failure, but the difference is a
single bit. Both blocks are mixed data.

sure seems like memory - if memory compare fails, then compares again to
find offset, then when it goes to output it's a match, the third read was
okay?

one other thing it could be if it's specific to the drive is the data is
still being transferred when its being reported that the transfer is
complete and releases the OS driver to say the transaction is complete and
it goes get the data and it's changing as its accessing it.

Re-ran the backup with 2.82a again, but this time saving the backup to a
different server.
Really interesting results this time. It still reported a byte for byte
failure, but the blocks that are presented in the log are identical (I saved
the blocks of "DATA AS BACKED UP:" and "DATA NOW ON DISK:" into two files
and compared them. They are identical. Is that because of a bug that was
fixed between 2.82a and 2.85?

The data below shows all the byte for byte failures, looked up with FINDLBAF to associate with files.
I opened a few of the files to see if either of the "DATA AS BACKED UP: " (all zeros), or the "DATA NOW ON DISK:" matched the content of the file.

I selected the file "screen1_131117-205128.png" because it was reasonably small (about 1Mbyte) and contained data throughout (no big blocks of zeros).

I verified that there were no blocks of 512 adjacent zeros (So the Data As Backed Up could not be correct). Then I selected various blocks of the data that was reported in the IFW Log under "DATA NOW ON DISK:", and tried to find them in the file. Strangely, there is no place where the 512 bytes reported as "DATA NOW ON DISK: in the IFW log appear in the file at that location.

I'm still wondering if FINDLBAF is working correctly. When I run FINDLBAF on Drive 0 (My H: Drive) I get:

What is MBR 0? Why is that displayed instead of the Volume? The size (238473MB ) is correct for the SSD, though.
