The kernel in 312 boot disk (released with 4.06) is 6.15.6.

Does IFL 4.06 contain a fix for this NIC driver issue?

It's an updated kernel, we don't fix Linux drivers, the Linux kernel supports what it supports - from those articles they say the later kernels support it.

Was this issue addressed in 4.07?
I didn't see anything specific, but it is always possible to be categorized under "Other potential changes, updates and enhancements."

The kernel version wasn't changed in 4.07 or 4.07a. The last change was in 4.06 (6.15.6).

Have you tried 4.06 or 4.07 to see if it's supported?

Noted. The update added 64-bit program versions and updated scripts to support them. Otherwise, same as 4.07.

Is the Linux kernel updated in IFL 4.08?
That is not mentioned on the Upgrade History.

The 4.08 kernel version is 6.15.6

Open Terminal...enter uname -r

Seems to be the same version as 4.06, as mentioned upthread...

1 - it has nothing to do with IFL. The boot disk you can create is based a Linux build we provide. You can also put it on your own custom Linux boot disk.
2 - If they mainline the driver in the kernel, it will work out of the box automatically since we include most Linux wired drivers in the build. I can add a note to check to ensure all the realtek drivers are enabled.
3 - The specific driver states "2.5G Ethernet LINUX driver r8125 for kernel up to 6.12" but we are already at kernel 6.15.6.
