Hi Brian K,
so if i get you right, your are saying that:
Sektor0= MBR
Sektor 1-62= hidden track
Correct me if i'm wrong. So thinking about this. Since the disk only needs 1 Sektor for MBR+Partition and Disk signature the hidden track is theoretically unused Space? Have you seen what programs write there (maybe some form of installation information?)
@Dr. Teeth: I think you mixed up Track0 with hidden track.

That's been my definition. Track 0 minus LBA-0. BIBM uses sectors in Track 0 for the EMBR.
