V2.97 IFW showed 4 hours to image Win8.1 C:\.
Usual time is approx. 30 minutes.
Shut down.
Booted up, now imaging time showing 30 minutes.
This is the second such occurrence in several weeks.
What might be the issue?
thanks

Re: intermittent slow
Probably because something in Windows was running in the background doing a
lot of writing. You can use VSS or disable throttling which may help; or
just wait and it would speed up when whatever was causing it was done. If
using an external device, could be it was in a mode since windows 8 powers
it down and up consistently. Another item is an occasional bad sector
being hit, that would bump it up (would stop moving for a bit, but time
would increase).
But it has nothing to do with the software itself.
